Male Mason Bee (Osmia)
Best Hair Color

Flowers are teaming with wild bees at this time of the year, but they are pretty hard to shoot on the flowers, because they are constantly moving and fly away very quickly. The best place to capture them was on this wooden bench in the sun, where some of them chose to rest for a while and savor the warmth.

These two I posted (see the other one below) where both about 10mm long. They have the same eyes and built, but different body colors. I especially like the other one, with the golden abdomen and the reddish hair!

UPDATE: According to Nico’s wild bees & wasps and eucera, these are males of the genus Osmia (mason bees). See the other photo to read their comments. Thanks a lot guys!

Oh man.

For the record… I wasted most of Monday just glancing through the pool of "What’s In Your Bag?" before I submitted my own. I was sucked in… *lol*

What will the world do without Filters! Passes out ^^
Best Hair Color

This is a Merge between a dave hill effect and a well twist of my version of it =D

Ill point out the tools i used and filters i used in this Edit *Hope its usefull* -

✖If a Close up Windlight is used then you prolly wouldnt need to use the Brightness&Contras
✖Else,Always better to Adjust the level of brightness depending on the skin colour of the person
✖Layers are your Best Friend Use Different Layers when applying Different Filters and always keep a Clean Layer as a back up. Use shortcuts CTRL+E to merge the layers and CTRL+J to duplicate a layer.Shortcuts always make the edits quick =D
✖Once a new layer is duplicated i Used for this effect HIGH PASS and then I Changed the type of layer from normal to vivid light.Play with the Opacity Level lowering it would be best for a Sl Edit Picture.Merged this layer to the layer below.
✖To achieve this effect i actually duplicated another layer and used HIGH PASS again this time with the level slighty higher then before and i changed the type of layer from normal to Colour. This gives a soft effect to the image very nice to the skin.Again play with the opacity level to your liking and merge down this layer.
XNext step would be to adding a Gaussian blur effect to this image not to blurry around 4.0-4.5 would do.Once the Blur is added add a Mask Layer to the layer once you do that Fill the layer with 50% grey Shortcute key: Shift+F5. Once the 50% grey Fills the trick is to use a brush tool brush of the parts you want to stand out for example the eyes the hair the lips. This gives a almost like pop out effect :D
✖Merge Down the layer CTRL+E and CTRL+J to duplicate.Convert the layer to a smart object and add filter Shapern-Unsharp Mask.Adjust opacity to your liking. And now Add Filter Noise-Reduce Noise to your liking.Merge down the layer CTRL+E
✖ YOUR BEST FRIENDS HAS TO BE THIS STEPS: DODGE & BURN TOOLS. The dodge tool gives you a chance to add brightness to parts of the image you want i use it almost always on the eyes giving it the glow. And the Burn tool lets you to darken part of the image you want you can use it add shadows on the skin makes it look more natural =)
✖ Basically youre done! *Yaaayy*

For second life Imaging Using the Liquify tool is like a MUST! To fix every glitch there is.I usually use the liquify tool before i edit anything else on a pic =D

I hope this gave a basic idea to how this picture was edited *huggies*

on p219. First attempt to colour a b&w picture. The hairs were way too difficult to do it right, and impossible to get it back into the original hair colour (purple/pink!), but I like the skintones.
