Some cool Hair Color Product images:
Spring Fever

okay i’m going to talk about the photos in the order that I edited them.
1. bottom right corner, bird
picture from: isphotography.myshopify.com/collections/all-creatures-gre…
i didn’t think about this one too much because i didn’t have to worry about colors yet (since it was the first one) although i did spend quite a bit of time bleaching out the blue in the background using picnik teeth whiten.
2. top left hand corner, bench with ivy
picture from: www.debitreloar.com/
when I saw this photo i instantly knew that I wanted to use it. I didn’t have to worry about this one too much either, the colors matched up pretty well – the pretty aged yellow, the green, the blue and that beautiful reddish brown.
3. the girl on the beach, bottom left corner
picture from: 2photo.ru/9912-fotograf-jacek-gasiorowski/56-foto/600/
i’m not sure if he/she was the original photographer, but this is where I found it.
This picture required more work. I bleached out the background pale blues using picnik teeth whitener and then I later decided they were too plae and tinted them light blue, and then the sea was too blue so I applied the black & white effect and then faded it out. and while this picture had plenty of the pale blue it lacked the beautiful yellow, the reddish-brown and the omnipresent green (in fact this picture stands out the most because of the lack of green), so I tinted the navy/black-ish robe a darker green, similar to the green in the ivy picture. to replicated the gorgeous reddish brown, which is at the bottom of most of the pictures, I used the sepia effect on the rainboots (my personal favorite part of that picture) to add a more reddish/brownish hue to them. for the yellow (which also makes the picture stand out from the rest) I just tinted the previously white-blonde hair.
4. The girl by the dock, top right corner
i found the picture on: community.livejournal.com/collapsingnight/54518.html#cutid1
i liked this picture because of the color of the dress, which i ended up bleaching out so it tied the beach picture in better, and the water. the picture already had the aged yellow, deep green and pale blue so I used the sepia effect to change the dock to the more reddish brown and I also added a little copper to the originally brunette girl’s hair.
I quite like how the whole thing came out. tell me what you think!

There are numerous high-quality freebies available on the grid these days, but my favorites usually come from PixelDolls. PD was been one of my favorite stores since I started shopping in SL, and lately they’ve been sending a freebie to their update group with each release. It’s a chance to try out the new product with a working item—sometimes in a style I’d not try otherwise, sometimes in a color outside of my usual palate. Lately they’ve been releasing quite a few bathing suits with a shiny satin finish. I spend a lot of time on the beach now, so I need all of the suits I can get. This is the most recent freebie, and I adore it—I’ll probably head in soon to pick up more colors. The freebie suit is is monochrome, and so I layered black and white clothing over it to create an outfit to wear off of the waves. When in doubt, I usually default to a combination of PixelDolls/Last Call/Shiny Things because they have a similar sheen, style, and overall quality. That’s what I wore here—PD leather pants which are a staple in my inventory, the ubiquitous tank from LC’s Sheryl outfit, and my favorite pair of shoes from Shiny Things.
I usually wear short or pulled back hair when surfing (it seems more reasonable for the waves, and the less flexi the less lag)—this style from Kin is certainly one of the shorter that I own, but I’m rather partial to it. To compliment the tomboy edge of this black and white outfit, and because I love star tattoos, I forwent jewelry and chose instead a tattoo from Skin Deep. And because I do nothing by halves, I also found a black beach to shoot against. I attended (but didn’t compete) in my fist surfing competition last weekend, and kept hearing ads for a black sand beach—this is the Tsunami beach, and it is quite striking even if (for me) rather laggy.
