Question by srahjay: How to color and add highlights yourself when you have dark Hair and want lighter hair?
I have dark brown hair, I would like to have a light brown hair with caramel and blonde highlights, without having red tints. Any ideas of which brands and color i should use? Like Jessica Alba hairstyle when it was lighter. Here’s an example of what i’m looking for

ya i’m trying to put my hair on highlights for a day..

so does anyone know of a product that does that?

you cannot temporarily lighten hair. it’s not possible. lightening hair involves the removal of color molecules. that cannot be done temporarily.
if you go to sally beauty supply and look in the color aisle, you might be able to find mascara color wands in a golden color. they wash out. you can swipe them down the hair to simulate the look of highlights. i can’t guarantee it will actually show up on your hair, as i don’t know what your hair looks like, but you can try it. they should be around $ 4 or so.

I don’t know what my skin tone is and I need help to figure that out, so I can know what hair colors/highlights are best for me. How can I upload a picture to show so someone can help me?

if you want to look up a picture go to google images or type in something just into google web it will come up with something for that like you could type in “skin tone and hair colour” that will bound to come up with something your looking for
