Question by bboi2006: I have black hair, and i want to put some highlights in it. What is the best color for me?
I’m a male and brown skin, pretty much like my avatar lol, and my hair is long and thick. I would just like to know what color works best with my hair color and possibly what semi or demi highlight product should I use? I don’t exactly want to use permenant highlights just yet, LOL.

personally i like varying shades of red/brown on dark hair. i don’t really like that blond hightlight thing on dark skin and dark hair.

Question by your mom: What color hair should a fair indian go for?
My mom won’t let me dye it a color that doesn’t look natural lol, but I want it to look different for the school year. I’m thinking a medium brown would add contrast.
My hair is naturally curly and it’s grown to a little below shoulder length.
Thoughts? Thanks :]
Also, if you could recommend a good hair color product, that would be great!

If I were you I would go to a salon and let them do it. Especially if it is your first time getting it dyed. I have seen so many girls try to do it themselves and it doesn’t turn out right. Good Luck!

How soon can I dye my hair without damaging it?

Question by Sarah: How soon can I dye my hair without damaging it?
I just dyed my hair about an hour ago and I really don’t like how it came out. I had black hair and dyed it red. Only the roots changed and they’re more noticeable than before. I used Splat hair dye.
If I used the bleach it came with would I be able to dye it sooner? Or could I get it dyed at a salon and not damage it?
Hypothetically, how much would I damage my hair if I re-dyed it at a salon tomorrow?

Just don’t use peroxide or bleach. I dye my hair a lot and I just follow that rule, my hair is still so healthy from just dying over the other color. In fact I was offered a modeling job because of my hair…so it must work lol
